Screen Printing
Calendar By selecting a place (be it real or fictional), I was given a task to visually interpret it as any medium.


I chose the place shown in the Korean drama series “Mr Sunshine”. 
The series is focused on the activists fighting for the independence of Korea. Although the historical background of the series is devastating, the series portrays heart-warming stories of characters using iconic buildings and objects.

I found the combination of Korean housing with Western buildings and imported goods such as the old tram and camera one of the iconic characteristics of the place. Every one of them reminds me of the characters and stories related to them, which made me decide to print a poster calendar with my illustration. I specifically decided to print it with a screenprinting process with intentional misregistration of lines and shapes.
